The Delta-Toledo Pastoral Charge consists of 2 churches located in the villages of Delta and Toledo in Southeastern Ontario. A warm welcome is extended to our congregation and all visitors who may be seeking a permanent, loving and supportive church family.
Delta United Church is a congregation made up of people from several smaller communities which slowly declined in population and eventually closed their local churches some forty years ago. The communities were Harlem, Chantry and Soperton. Delta United Church is currently a two-point charge, sharing ministerial duties with St. Andrew's in Toledo, Ontario.
As Christians our challenge is:
To bear witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. To promote justice and love in a hurting world. To work in unity with other churches. To respond with compassion to those in need
Within our Church family we strive to:
Be a welcoming family. Respect one another. Support one another and Care for one another
We seek to provide: A place of worship. Spiritual direction, Inspiration, Healing. Christian Education and The nurture of friendships
St Andrew's United Church is a two point pastoral charge that includes Delta United Church which is our sister church. We are a small, but active church with a Sunday service that includes in its worship an enthusiastic choir and a coffee time after the service for many good visits with one another. We strive to serve and meet the needs of our community.
We, at St Andrew's United Church, are a people of God, sharing a journey, guided by the life of Jesus Christ.
We hope to provide, within our Church care, inspiration, nurture and a worship that speaks to today's concerns.
We believe our challenge is to become aware of God's Spirit inviting us to respond to the needs of others in the local and world community.
